AVID 9 is a class where you are going to learn and expand on skills which are going to prepare you for college and career opportunities after high school. You are going to be trained in skills essential for academic success; you will increase your critical thinking skills, establish strong working relationships with teachers, and participate in peer tutor groups which support positive peer interactions. The purpose of the AVID 9 elective class is to develop skills required for enrollment in rigorous courses, including Honors and Advanced Placement classes that meet the requirements for high school graduation and college admission.
